They are light and smear well, that's about it. Edge about as well as a spoiled banana (crux was significantly better) and the thin sole definitely leads to feeling more on the trail. Have used them to solo west ridge of Stuart c2c and my feet were killing me from getting stabbed by rocks.
A good option for moderate approaches where you need to clip shoes to your harness to do a walk off with lots of 4th to low 5th. Not something to lug a pack into base camp."
