Edit: These shoes break in really well! Now that I've been wearing them for about a year, they still fit really well, if slightly loose around the heel. this doesn't affect heel hooks though. I'd say the biggest downside of these shoes is the lack of toe-hook rubber, but still by far the best shoe I could have bought for my purposes."

"I actually own these in a 39.5 - which fit tight. I picked them up recently and these will need to stretch out. These are narrow for my feet.
A 40 would have been 5/5 Normal and a 40.5 would have been 5/5 Comfortable.
I would get a 40 or 40.5 if i had to buy these again (1 to 1.5 down from street shoe)"

"Overall tight with toes curled but breaks in nicely. Shoe stretches a bit from first few climbs but now at its optimal performance. I can wear them throughout my climbing session at the gym without unlacing or taking them off and I can flash 5.10s all day with them. They only show their limitations on micro footholds commonly used on tougher climbing grades (5.11+) as they aren't structured enough to get the most power; my foot has to work extra hard to stay on the hold to compensate. Great edge, very durable rubber. All round awesome neutral training shoe."
