I bought these on sale thinking they would make good beater shoes for moderate sport, and easy crack climbs. Unfortunately they seem to have been designed solely for gym climbing. When I first got them I though the soles felt dry and oxydized, so I sanded them, and realized the rubber itself is hard and slick. I always feel as if i am climbing a grade harder than I actually am when I put these things on. They slip on everything, even foot jams.
They are not very comfortable either, especially considering how loose I fitted them. The straps are curved, which makes them bunch up. My heels also get sore.
The only good thing about these shoes is the store hard rubber is very durable."
